超越屏障：重新定義緊密連接在健康與疾病中的角色

我們實驗室的研究突破傳統將緊密連接（Tight Junctions）視為被動性物理屏障的觀點，致力於探索其作為動態訊息傳遞樞紐，在調控上皮穩態、發炎反應及癌症發展中的關鍵角色。透過整合分子與細胞生物學、先進疾病模型及跨領域研究技術，深入探討緊密連接蛋白如何協調上皮修復、免疫反應，以及宿主與微生物之間的交互作用。

本實驗室研究的獨特之處，在於探索緊密連接蛋白超越傳統屏障功能的非典型作用，進一步揭示其在大腸直腸癌、口腔癌、慢性發炎疾病及腸腦軸訊息傳遞中的重要角色。我們致力於釐清上皮細胞訊息傳遞異常如何影響局部組織健康，並探討其與全身性發炎及神經退化性疾病之間的潛在關聯與因果關係。

我們的最終目標，是將緊密連接生物學的基礎研究成果轉譯為創新的疾病預防與治療策略。透過結合上皮生物學、免疫學、微生物學、腫瘤學及神經科學，我們期望揭開黏膜健康與全身性疾病之間尚未被充分認識的分子機制。
