嚼食檳榔與相關口腔黏膜疾病致病機轉之研究：

研究檳榔嚼塊中檳榔子、檳榔素成分對口腔黏膜細胞生物活性與發炎反應與相關之訊息傳導機制，有助於我們了解檳榔嚼塊的化學致癌性暨其機轉，同時也可提供未來防治口腔癌之方式。

生長因子對牙髓牙周(幹)細胞代謝與特性之影響：

生長因子在牙髓組織與牙周組織的發育過程中扮演重要的角色。同時生長因子也會調控牙髓組織與牙周組織的修復與再生。研究生長因子對牙髓與牙周(幹)細胞代謝與特性之改變，有助於我們了解牙髓與牙周組織的生物作用時也可提供未來牙髓活性治療與牙周組織再生的基礎。

牙科材料及其中成分的毒理與藥理作用:

測試各種牙科藥物.材料及其中成分的細胞毒理. 基因毒性. 致突變性與發炎介質釋放, 對身體健康之影響, 並探討相關機轉, 包括對細胞週期. 細胞氧化還原變化 細胞萎死與相關基因的改變與調控等, 有助於臨床材料的安全選擇
