在口腔腫瘤的基礎研究上，發現PAX1與ZNF582兩個抑癌基因的甲基化，可當成口腔黏膜疾病及口腔癌早期篩檢的重要生物標記，並與口腔癌復發或存活時間有相關性。於此領域已發表多篇論文，且為口腔癌早期篩檢的重要發現。另外發現新的口腔癌致病機轉，由檳榔鹼誘導EV(外泌體)攜帶 mtDNA D-loop和PD-L1，並引起免疫抑制。然而，利用微生物衍生的生物反應調控劑（biological response modifier, BRM），由酵母菌萃取之WGP ß-glucan為一具有ß-1,3-linked D-glucose molecules骨架結構之分子，在臨床上已知有免疫調節之作用，可強化免疫功能，並活化 CD4/8 T 細胞，抑制Treg cell和促進細胞凋亡，有利於 OSCC病人輔助標靶和免疫療法之使用。此研究發現已於台大醫院營養室列為常規輔助食品，頭頸癌病人等待手術時給予，為重要的輔助治療。最難能可貴是研究以迷你植體，應用於治療咬合不正之患者，此研究結果發表於IJOMI，被引用430次。
