在口腔腫瘤的基礎研究上,發現PAX1ZNF582兩個抑癌基因的甲基化,可當成口腔黏膜疾病及口腔癌早期篩檢的重要生物標記,並與口腔癌復發或存活時間有相關性。於此領域已發表多篇論文,且為口腔癌早期篩檢的重要發現。另外發現新的口腔癌致病機轉,由檳榔鹼誘導EV(外泌體)攜帶 mtDNA D-loop和PD-L1,並引起免疫抑制。然而,利用微生物衍生的生物反應調控劑(biological response modifier, BRM),由酵母菌萃取之WGP ß-glucan為一具有ß-1,3-linked D-glucose molecules骨架結構之分子,在臨床上已知有免疫調節之作用,可強化免疫功能,並活化 CD4/8 T 細胞,抑制Treg cell和促進細胞凋亡,有利於 OSCC病人輔助標靶和免疫療法之使用。此研究發現已於台大醫院營養室列為常規輔助食品,頭頸癌病人等待手術時給予,為重要的輔助治療。最難能可貴是研究以迷你植體,應用於治療咬合不正之患者,此研究結果發表IJOMI,被引用430
